Management Team         

HBSi’s leadership team brings clients a wide range of experience in the global travel technology field. This means there is no strategic planning, technology implementation, or customer service issue our team has not handled, or cannot resolve for you. Our management team strives to ensure complete satisfaction for every hotel and distribution channel partner. Our team includes:

Peter Cefai, Chairman

Peter Cefai has been in the IT industry for more than 22 years, with a strong background in sales and marketing, strategic planning and general management, personnel management and customer engagement. These skills have helped him provide IBS with profitable growth by increasing the market share with focused market offerings, negotiating major contracts and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Another of Peter's responsibilities is building the management team and reporting to the Board on corporate governance.  Before joining the IBS Group, Peter was with International Computers Ltd. (ICL) for 19 years in numerous roles, ending as Director of the Travel and Transport division. Peter then became the Vice President of Global Marketing for Honeywell/Avient Technologies when IBS acquired Avient Solutions from Honeywell in September 2003.

Peter Krebs, CEO & President

As COO of IBS Software Services Americas, Inc., Peter Krebs has been responsible for developing strategic customer and partner relationships with the airline industry.  He was instrumental in developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for aiRES, IBS' new-generation passenger services system, and is now responsible for the aiRES partnership with Travelport, wherein IBS provides software development, maintenance and customer-specific development services. Drawing on his extensive experience in the airline software business, he is a member of the strategic forum that provides future direction for aiRES. Prior to joining IBS, Krebs was CEO of Atraxis North America where he managed the consolidation of all the Swissair Group IT services, including software, desktop and telecom services.  He also worked as the CEO of Atraxis Cargo Solutions where he built up a cargo and logistics software center and promoted other Atraxis airline solution portfolios.  In 2001, Krebs was responsible for merging the activities of Idmon Corp. into Atraxis North America, and thanks to his efforts, the company developed a new-generation software solution for airline network analysis and fleet assignment. Peter Krebs is a native of Denmark and was educated at the Copenhagen Business School. He supplemented that education with courses at the Henley Business School in the United Kingdom. In his most recent position, Peter assumes the responsibilities of President and CEO of Hotel Booking Solutions, Inc.

Greg Berman, Chief Operating Officer

Greg is responsible for all of HBSi’s strategic and day to day operations including software development, customer service, service delivery and the companies IT/ASP operations.  With over 20 years experience in the sales, software development, management, company operations, marketing and delivery of Enterprise Business Software Solutions, e-Business Services and Information Technology, Greg provides a unique blend of expertise to HBSi is his role as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining HBSi in April 2005 as Vice President of Engineering, Greg served in various executive roles working across multiple industry verticals including Vice President of Mobile Solutions for Fujitsu Consulting, Vice President of Sales for Fujitsu Consulting, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Albion Connect as well as a Partner for Albion International. Greg was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at HBSi in July 2006.  Greg has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/ Operations Management from Auburn University and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Texas.

Mark Hoare, Senior Vice President, Travel, Cruise & Hospitality

Mark Hoare has 27 years of hospitality and hospitality technology experience within the European and North American marketplaces. In that time, he has held operational and managerial positions with The Savoy Group and Sheraton Hotels in London, Royal Classic Hotels in Scandinavia, the Hotel Le Richemond in Switzerland and Disney, Paris. In 1990 Mark made the transition from hotel operations into hotel technology after taking a leading role in the project to convert the Savoy Group from several manual systems to a fully-automated operation, saving them incredible amounts of time, money and manpower. Following his work with the Savoy Group, Mark held top positions for several organizations, including Hotel Information Systems, Hilton International (UK) and Anasazi CRS.  Most recently Mark was the VP of Product Management with Hotel Booking Solutions, Inc., successfully transitioning HBSi from a custom software development operation into a market driven and product oriented company as well as designing and specifying several leading edge products that help large hotel chains solve their technology and connectivity issues at a fraction of the cost.  As SVP of Travel, Cruise and Hospitality at IBS, Mark will assume responsibility for Hotel Booking Solutions' products and services. One of Mark's main areas of focus will be integrating HBSi's soltuions  with the existing IBS travel product portfolio. In 2005, while still fully involved in the corporate world, Mark founded his own consultancy and services company as a means to further contribute to the hospitality industry. Mark was born and educated in England, but currently resides with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.

Keith Cotton, Vice President, Supply Solutions

Keith is responsible for sales activities regarding hotel products and services.  Most recently he was Director of Sales for AltiusPAR and Managing Director for ReservHotel, LLC.  Keith is a travel industry pioneer with more than 25 years of experience originating with his work in the early 1980’s during the foundation of today’s electronic distribution environment between hotel companies and Global Distribution Systems.  He is a founding board member of the Hotel Electronic Distribution Association (HEDNA). Keith has more than 20 years of management experience, including many years with Holiday Inn Worldwide and with Pegasus Solutions as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Keith is recognized for his customer relations and management skills as well as his expertise in hotel industry technology.

 

Lisa Barker, Vice President, Distribution Solutions 

Lisa leads our global sales effort for distribution solutions. With more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, Lisa brings a unique combination of business and distribution technology expertise, which include posts with Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels, and AMR’s TeleService Resources. Most recently Lisa served as Director of Business Development for Pegasus Solutions where she was responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts surrounding the launch of Pegasus Solution’s Online Distribution Network as well as the launch of TravelWeb, LLC. Lisa received her bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.
